Success in the classroom / recent results

The school has very high academic standards. Every year, Grafton pupils are welcomed into some of the top independent and grammar schools. Among the most popular independent schools for our leavers are Hulme Grammar, Manchester Grammar, Stockport Grammar, West Hill and Audenshaw. To date we have a 100% success at entry to Grammar schools. Since opening in 1991 our first pupils have recently completed their A levels with excellent results and all have received offers from their first choice of Universities.

School children from Year One upwards follow the National Curriculum Key Stage 1, progressing to Key Stage 2. Our schemes of work reflect those being used in state schools, however, our pupils benefit from a more diverse and flexible teaching system and a maximum class size of 14.

At Grafton House, we believe in the importance of acquiring a good knowledge of numeracy and literacy and these subjects are taught daily from pre-school upwards.
